Hello Fablers, and welcome back to another Fable Academy tutorial. In this one, we're not so much going to go in depth here in the video, but we are going to refer you to our help resources.
We have this thing in Fable called workspace utilities. Let's say you have a layer selected, and you go up here to your effects panel. You scroll all the way to the bottom.
We have this long list here, which we hope will grow over time, of all of these different utilities that can be used in your scene. These perform different operations. They're all procedural. You can drive different equations through them. And what these will do is eventually we'll be able to take these nodes individually and connect these to other parameters, thus driving our animation via a more of a procedural math based method.
That's a bit heavy to get into in a video tutorial. So instead what I will suggest for you, when you're in a project, unless you want to know what the math node does, or it can be as simple as, the taper node. You would go and click on your home icon up here on the top left of your canvas.
And now at the bottom, right, you have a little question mark. Click it. You'll see our help panel pops up. And in this search bar, you'll be able to punch in whatever you're looking for.
Each one of our nodes, articles, effects, etc, will have a full page link. This will be an ever-growing process and you will find here all of the in-depth details for each one of our utility nodes.
With that said, just remember, feel free to refer back to our help page and you will have a more detailed explanation of the utility that you're looking for.
