Hello Fablers. In this lesson, we're going to talk about the tapered path. We're going to start out with our scene and take our pen tool here. You want to just draw a simple line shape.
No caveat for this effect, make sure you enable the stroke. Otherwise it will not work. Let's make this a little bit fatter, just so it's very obvious and let's round out our end caps.
With your layer selected, go to the effects panel, go down into the shape tool section and select the tapered path. Drag and drop it onto your path.
As soon as we apply our effect. We see that we have four parameters. We have the start size, the start length, the end size and the end length. The size allows you to choose if it goes to a pointed end or to a more sort of boxed off or solid end, and the length determines at which point that taper begins and ends over the entire length of your shape.
