Hello Fablers. In this video, we're going to talk about the shape deformer.
So here, we're going to start our scene with a simple rectangle shape. Let's go to the top right here to our effects library, go down into our shape tools and choose the third one called a shape deformer. You'll notice that immediately starts to drop in some great defamation. I have a couple parameters here that we can animate.
One is time, smooth, strength, frequency, and seed. With the time, I'm gonna drop some key frames in here just to illustrate, but as you move it forward, this can give you some really nice looking motion pretty quickly.
Our next option is checkbox, smooth. Pretty self-explanatory once you smooth out your shape, it gets rid of all those hard edges and gives you this really nice organic feeling flow of a line.
Next we've got strength, which essentially controls how much deformation is applied to your shape.
Next we have frequency, which basically if we have a line, the higher the frequency value is, the more iterations of the noise you're going to get.
And lastly, we've got our seed. Essentially randomizes how this noise wave interacts with our shape.
