Hello Fablers, and welcome back to another tutorial. In this video of Academy, we're going to be talking about the Edge effect.
In our scene, we have our JPEG as usual. Select our layer. Make sure it's active. Let's go to our top right to the effects window panel, and let's start to type in edge. Click, drag, and drop, and immediately we'll see what this effect is best known for.
In other platforms or packages it's usually called defined edges effect. Same idea. If this image had a alpha channel, meaning if this was only the text on a blank background, it would have the same effect with this "use alpha channel" checked on. In this case, because we don't have an alpha channel, it won't particularly make any difference.
The global opacity slider here will allow us to either turn down or turn off the visibility of our effect.
